Robert Bailey's (old) Portfolio

Hi! This site is now out of date, and is my old custom portfolio. I'm keeping it live as an old record, and because there are still business cards that link back to it. Some links (like ones going to wikipages) have been made invalid.

My new updated and maintained portfolio is over at https://thrownerror.com/. It's snazzy.

Welcome!

My name is Robert Bailey, a game designer currently attending the Game Design and Development Master's Program at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I have a strong passion for telling stories through level design and mechanical implementations. Currently, I'm going into the fifth year of my academic program, pursuing dual BS/MS degrees. I am looking for job opportunities in games and general software development as a Level Designer, Gameplay Programmer, Technical Designer, or related fields.
I recently put out HexColored, a color combinatorics puzzle game, on Android devices with the help of my co-devs at MajorStack Games: Google Play Store Link
A selection of my projects are hosted on itch.io - An 8-person VR car combat game developed in a semester, VRoom, and a zen game made as part of Global Games 2017, Swingy Dinghy

You can find me on LinkedIn and Twitter!

Current Project:

Live development on HexColored

Continuing development as part of MajorStack Games on the mobile-focused logic puzzle game, HexColored. Looking at porting to iOS, continual bug fixes, and content additions. HexColored received funding for work over the summmer from Magic Spell Studios, as part of the Co-Up Program. From there, HexColored went into part-time development until Spring 2018, where it released at ImagineRIT. Work continues, even after the release.
To do: Bug fixing, mobile optimization, and continued refinement of player experience.
Check out MajorStack Games on Twitter for updates!

HexColored is now available on the Google Play store!
